Willoughby Swim – August 21, 2010
Some say there is no more beautiful or cleaner lake in North American. It’s a cold, deep, glacially carved wonder located deep in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. If you want to join the NEK Open Water Swimming Association’s inaugural swim (co-hosted by IROC’s Masters Swimmers) on Saturday August 21st, 2010, let us know.
The Swim is about 4 miles. All participants must be qualified by our committee to participate at this distance after they have registered and paid.
Every swimmer must be accompanied by a kayak or canoe. You must bring your own spotter/kayaker to participate. We can rent kayaks for $75 if you reserve and pay in advance. We will be charging a simple participation fee of $100 to cover expenses and to allow us to make a donation to support emergency rescue at Westmore and Lake Willoughby.
